Meet the Doctor

Dr. Crandall has been practicing general dentistry for over 39 years with an educational approach that is based in prevention.

She believes in providing her patients with all the appropriate treatment options available, while encouraging them to choose conservative dentistry that preserves and protects their remaining tooth structure. Most importantly, she emphasizes the importance of excellent periodontal (gum) health and will personally provide periodontal care for her patients. Dr. Crandall has completed master courses in esthetic dentistry and occlusion at both the Dawson Center and L.V.I.

Dr. Crandall knew at a young age that she wanted to be a dentist. Thus, with determination and focus, she earned her BA degree in three years of study with three majors in chemistry, speech and hearing science, and psychology. She graduated with distinction and as a Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Colorado in Boulder.

After graduating from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1982, Dr. Crandall opened her solo practice at the age of 23 in San Francisco.

After 18 years of being completely, and enjoyably, consumed with her solo practice in San Francisco, Dr. Crandall decided she needed a more balanced life. She found that the best way to have more personal time, yet stay plugged into the constant changes and advances in dentistry, was to share space with another dentist that fueled her passion with her professional by sharing ideas, space and staff. In Healdsburg, Dr. Crandall shares professional space and knowledge with Dr. Shawn Widick. She has found it very rewarding to have a professional team around her where education is encouraged, new materials are studied, equipment is constantly updated and cases and responsibilities are shared and supported.

In her free time, Dr. Crandall enjoys water color painting, golf, dressage, gym time, running and connecting Sonoma County artists with people and spaces that need the magic that art delivers.
